In the pursuit of raising awareness about Brain AVM’s, spreading knowledge & kindness, we must weave the threads of AVM awareness into the tapestry of our community. Having your school & district host a day of AVM awareness and education would truly help this mission. This day could be filled with fun activities while learning about AVM Awareness & kindness. Many awareness days include a fundraiser, such as buying our AVM awareness bracelets, collecting coins or coming to school out of uniform in exchange for a donation to The Paige Elizabeth Keely Foundation. We will also create an individual link for your school to fundraise. There is no obligation to do so, however, the option is there for you. It’s greatly needed and appreciated. Due to the success of our fundraisers, and Awareness we are able to support and spearhead incredibly needed research that will specifically study Arteriovenous Malformations (AVMs). Research of this caliber did not exist previously, and the information gained will impact so many lives. All of the generous donations will allow us to pursue our mission and to help ensure that no family will have to go through the pain of losing a child when early detection can help save a life.
Your district will be provided with a kindness video to be shown to elementary grade level students. This can be coupled with discussions and lessons woven into the fabric of the curriculum. The young students might draw pictures, create videos about kindness and Brain Avm awareness, while the older ones might craft presentations, social media postings and sharing, getting the school sports teams and clubs involved to create different ways to help raise awareness about Brain AVMs. Most importantly, The Paige Elizabeth Keely Foundation will provide your staff with a live Q&A presentation about Brain Arteriovenous Malformations (AVM’s). All the families in your district will be provided with awareness and early detection information. This information can be posted on your district's website, or whatever means of communication you choose.
We will provide your school & (all staff) with a comprehensive live (in person) Q&A presentation to educate you and your staff on how to potentially identify and handle possible Brain AVMs (Arteriovenous Malformations), Brain Aneurysm, Stroke, and Brain Trauma. Upon the completion of your Brain Trauma Awareness Education, you will be provided with Head Trauma (Signs and Symptoms) posters. Posters are provided and should be made visible throughout the school: * Main entrance - Greeting area * Nurses' office * Classrooms Cafeteria * Gymnasium We look forward to providing you and your community with this much-needed awareness about Brain AVMs. We thank you in advance for your support.
